September Update

Where does the time go? Hard to believe that Melinda and I will be heading back to Lusaka, Zambia in this fall. The work in Africa is expanding at an explosive rate. The FIM board met this past July and felt it imperative that we return to conduct intense leadership training for the leaders and potential new leaders. Kelvin Chewe and Jim Phiri, FIM’s apostolic leaders for the churches and Foundations Bible Training Center had a very fruitful mission journey in June to the Copper Belt region of Zambia and to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We also have invitations to take training into Zimbabwe and Malawi. Expansion of the school is also taking place in Kenya, where two new schools were started in the Kakamega region of Western Kenya and another in Nairobi. This is in addition to the new schools in Lusaka and other provinces.

Many more meetings like this with pastors

Our days will be packed with teaching on subjects as apostolic leadership, apostolic training centers and ministry hubs, team ministry, community involvement and others. When we are not teaching we will be meeting individually with as many of the pastors and their wives as we can. It is quite an honor and very humbling that the Lord has given us such favor. Melinda and I are grateful for the small faithful band that supports FIM through prayer and finances as well as the many intercessors that pray faithfully. Melinda and I ask for your prayers for our travel, provision, wisdom and divine strategy.

Going forward, I (Robert) will lead a small team to Nagaland in January to visit the school there we helped to establish. This will be our first trip back since the Academy for Theology and Missions formally opened. They are in their second year and currently have twenty one students enrolled, including several from the neighboring state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Students listening to a guest lecturer

We are in need of good theological books (commentaries, concordances, etc.) to establish a library for the students.

Help us expand the library

We would also like to establish an electronic library and set up a private local area network to access materials via Wi-Fi. If you have books or software you could donate, it would be much appreciated. Since internet there is sporadic at best, everything would need to be on their server, which will have to be purchased, as well as the Wi-Fi router.

In the spring, we once again will be taking teams to Zambia. For leadership training, teaching, evangelism, campus ministry, men’s, women’s, youth, children’s ministry and hopefully, a little time to see some wild animals.

Melinda and I covet your prayers for the awesome assignment The Lord has charged us with. Without them, we can do nothing. If you would care to support financially, you can give through our web site, , through PayPal or check mailed to FIM – 646 Stallsworth Rd – McDonough, GA 30252. We are a 501(c) 3 religious organization, making your donations tax deductible. Any books, software, or hardware may be deducted at fair market value.

May the abundant blessing, grace and peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ be yours.

Robert & Melinda Brondell
